Excerpt from June, 2002 PEITF Newsletter

I wish to publicly thank the Employee Assistance Program for the support I received over the last eighteen months. I have come through a major life crisis and for sure the services of the EAP were a very positive influence in the way I coped.

I met with a counselor about every six weeks and each time I came away feeling like I'd left a ton of garbage behind. Although my circumstances didn't change, by seeking this support I was better able to deal with the process.

I believe I was not the only recipient of benefits from the EAP. My employer benefitted financially in that I was not absent from my job. I am most pleased by the fact I was able to be more present for my students.

We are fortunate to have this program staffed with competent, skilled, caring professionals.

The confidentiality of the program enabled me to seek the help I needed without anyone's knowledge in my workplace. I am proud to tell friends how helpful EAP was.  I am writing this anonymously to emphasize the confidentiality of the program.  Thanks EAP!
