INCENTIVE PROGRAMS
2011-2012

1.      P.E.I.T.F. Scholarships -- Three scholarships valued at $1,500.
         each.  One scholarship shall be awarded to a student attending an
         accredited university, and one scholarship shall be awarded to a
         student attending an accredited community college or equivalent
         post-secondary institution. Candidates must be dependents of
         Federation Members (active, retired, deceased) and registered in
         their final year of study.

         Deadline for applications -- Received at Federation House by
         September 30, 2012.

2.      Project Overseas -- A project of the Canadian Teachers'
         Federation to assist teachers in developing countries. P.E.I.T.F. 
         sponsors one candidate each summer.

        Deadline for applications -- Received at Federation House by
        November 15, 2012.

3.     P.E.I.T.F. Bursary Program -- Forty  bursaries valued at $400.
        each are awarded to teachers undertaking post-secondary study
        during the Federation year.

        Deadline for applications -- Received at Federation House by April
        15, 2012.

4.     Professional Development Assistance -- A program designed to
        promote the professional development of teachers on P.E.I.
        Teachers may apply for financial assistance to undertake such
        activities as conference attendance, funding resource persons or
        in-service programs. The assistance program is administered by
        the Area Associations. For further information consult your Board
        of Governor Member or the Area Coordinator.
