The PEITF Pension
Committee will be holding two Pre-Retirement Seminars in 2012. The
Seminars are scheduled for
Summerside on April
21, 2012
at the Loyalist Lakeview Resort.
and
in Charlottetown
at the Rodd
Charlottetown
Hotel on
April 28,
2012
The Seminars will
be of interest primarily to teachers who are within ten years of
retirement but any teacher is welcome to attend. Teachers'
spouses are also invited to attend.
The Seminar will
feature sessions on Teachers' Pensions, Group Insurance/CPP, Psychological
Aspects of Retirement and the Financial Aspects of Retirement.
The program will
run from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with a luncheon being provided. The
maximum number of participants, including spouses, will be 50; the minimum
number of participants is 15. Registration will be accepted on a first
come - first served basis. A fee of $20. per person will be charged to
help to offset the luncheon and other costs. Cheques should be made
payable to the PEI Teachers' Federation. Refunds will not be issued
unless cancellation notice is received by April 13, 2012 for the
Summerside seminar and by April
20,
2012 for the
Charlottetown seminar.

make teachers aware of the Seminars through an announcement at a staff
meeting, if possible.
