The
PEITF Pension Committee will be holding two Pre-Retirement Seminars in
2010. The Seminars are scheduled for Summerside on April 17, 2010 at the
Loyalist Lakeview Resort and Charlottetown on April 24, 2010 at the Rodd
Charlottetown Hotel.
The Seminars will be of
interest primarily to teachers who are within ten years of retirement but
any teacher is welcome to attend. Teachers' spouses are also
invited to attend.
The Seminar will feature
sessions on Teachers' Pensions, Group Insurance/CPP, Psychological Aspects
of Retirement and the Financial Aspects of Retirement.
The program will run from
9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with a luncheon being provided. The maximum number
of participants, including spouses, will be 50; the minimum number of
participants is 15. Registration will be accepted on a first come - first
served basis. A fee of $20. per person will be charged to help to offset
the luncheon and other costs. Cheques should be made payable to the PEI
Teachers' Federation. Refunds will not be issued unless cancellation
notice is received by April 9, 2010 for the Summerside seminar and by
April 16, 2010 for the Charlottetown seminar.
